Grading System

About My Grading System

When products arrive at my studio, I inspect and grade everything to make sure it meets my high quality standards. Any item that does not pass my quality control is either sold at a discount or included as a free gift with orders.

I use a widely spread grading system to classify my products into the following categories:

  • A-Grade: Perfect items with no flaws.
  • B-Grade: Almost perfect items, with small mistakes that are barely visible and do not affect the overall appearance of the product.
  • C-Grade: Items with more noticeable mistakes that affect the overall appearance of the product.

This grade system is mostly used for enamel pins, but sometimes it also be used for other items as prints, bookmarks or keychains.

None of these items are broken; they only have minor defects that prevent them from being sold at the usual price.

What to expect form B- and C-Grade Enamel Pins
B-Grade:

C-Grade:

What to expect from B-Grade Keychains
C-Grade Keychains are not available.

These scratches are usually only visible under certain lighting and do not affect the final appearance of the keychain.

What to expect from B-Grade Prints and Bookmarks
C-Grade Prints and Bookmarks are not available.

The overall appearance of these prints is very good, and most of the defects are barely noticeable, so they are still perfect for hanging on any wall.
Some may also have slight size variations.
The white edges of misaligned prints can be trimmed to make them fit.
